How it works
- Step 1
Pick where to start
Tell Brio your name, your age and how hard to begin, answer three quick warm-up questions, and your first lessons are set to match.
- Step 2
Learn one idea, then use it
Each lesson shows you an idea and then asks you to use it. Get one wrong and you hear why, with hints one at a time, before the answer is ever shown.
- Step 3
It keeps up with you
The exercises follow how you answer, so they stay hard enough to be worth doing. XP, streaks and badges mark the way.
Try one
A question from the first unit of Reasoning, exactly as it appears in the app. In a lesson you would tap your answer and hear why it works, or why not.
More about ReasoningHana is faster than Ben. Vik is faster than Ben too. Is Hana faster than Vik?
- You can’t tell from this
- Yes: Hana was named first
- No: both are faster than Ben, so equal
Show the answer
You can’t tell from this
Both orders fit, so the facts don’t settle it: you can’t tell. A fact about two people says nothing about a third, and can be said from either side.
Questions
- What is Braud Gauge?
- A learning and mind-development platform, with courses and training across subjects. It starts with five worlds (chess strategy, analytical thinking, reasoning, problem solving and decision making), each a path of short lessons. Every exercise explains itself, and the path adapts to how you answer.
- Do I need an account?
- No. You can start as a guest, and your progress is kept in your browser on that device. If you are 18 or over, you can make a free account to keep your progress safe and pick it up on another device.
- How long does it take?
- A lesson is a short run of exercises, and you can stop between any two of them; your place is kept. There is also a daily workout that picks exercises for you and adjusts as you go.
- Is it a brain-training game?
- It plays like a game, with XP, streaks and a companion called Brio, but every exercise is part of a lesson that teaches one idea. We make no claims about IQ or memory: it is practice for specific thinking skills.
Ready when you are
